    A global toolkit of resources is being developed to support countries with effective planning for early childhood education across all phases of sector plan development Cross-country peer learning and exchanges promote best practices, lessons learned, and collaboration between countries. “Ontario’s Early Learning–Kindergarten Program: A Transformative Early Childhood Education Initiative” describes the large-scale government implementation of an initiative that most US educators only dream of: a publicly funded, two-year, mixed-age, full-day program for 4- and 5-year-olds, with an emphasis on play- and inquiry-based.

    It demonstrates how childhoods are multiple, complex and multi-faceted in a global context and outlines approaches to policy and practice that celebrate diversity and address contemporary concerns such as poverty, children's rights and quality in early childhood education. This is a book that should be read by researchers, practitioners. This book shares global perspectives on Catholic religious education in schools, chiefly focusing on educational and curriculum issues that take into account the theology and the pedagogy which support learning in connection with Catholic religious education.
